In Maths this week, we have switched our focus from decimals to trigonometry, where we have looked at the different types of angles there are and how we identify them. In English, we have continued on with our group read “Cosmic”, following the adventures of Liam Digby and Florida Kirby. The class have been discussing and comparing the differences between the two characters and summarising what has happened so far, and what they think is going to happen next in the story. This has sparked some really imaginative feedback in class.

The class have been debating ethical issues in PSHE this week. They’ve provided feedback on their thoughts and feelings and debated individual opinions within the class on the issues that we see in our world today. We’ve been busy helping out down the Farm in the absence of Rob. The students have been really helpful in taking turns to feed all of the animals and collecting the eggs from our chickens. For the reptile enthusiasts in the class, we have been helping take care of our snakes, bearded dragon and leopard gecko. Making sure they have the right vitamins with their food and making sure they have fresh water.

Diamond art has become a passion for a couple of students this week and we’ve seen a beautiful piece finished with the intention of having it framed and displayed. We finished the week off with Fantastic Friday where the group took part in water balloon cricket with Group 5 - no one walked away dry
